Operations Manager

 

Purpose of the Role

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Logistics and manage a small Operations Team while overseeing key third-party suppliers. You will be delivering outstanding customer service through efficient supply chain management and strong stakeholder relationships.

Main responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Logistics, providing support as needed to effectively fulfil your role.
  • Oversee the daily management of a small Operations team, ensuring SLA compliance, facilitating training, and fostering a motivated and high-performing team culture. 
  • Take ownership of third-party warehouse management and key supplier relationships, negotiating costs and securing optimal results for UK projects, including overseeing a UK rework schedule.
  • Continuously assess and enhance operational processes, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Provide administrative support to Sales Directors across Key Accounts and Supermarkets.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by meeting their requirements and delivering exceptional service across a diverse client base.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external queries related to the Operations Team.
  • Handle general administrative duties, including managing emails, answering phone calls, and data entry.

Skills & Experience

  • Confidence to communicate effectively with Customers and Management and to manage difficult conversations
  • Highly organised with the ability to handle a substantial workload and use your own initiative to problem solve
  • Positive can-do attitude within a fast-changing environment
  • A Team Player
  • Experience supervising a small team
  • Computer literate with good Excel skills
